Mattenet Partners with Apian to Support Drone Logistics for UK’s National Health Service (NHS)

We’re excited to announce that we will soon begin operating for NHS hospitals in the UK through a new partnership with Apian.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone for us, as it represents the first deployment of our advanced drone logistics network in the UK.

Our partnership was recently featured at 10 Downing Street during London Tech Week, highlighting how advanced logistics are reshaping the future of healthcare (read the Apian release here).

Over the past several years, we’ve helped transform medical logistics in Switzerland, where we’ve been operating since 2017, and in the United States, where we launched in 2019. We have supported the transport of lab samples, pharmaceuticals, and medical supplies in urban environments, and now we’re bringing that same technology and expertise to the UK.

The NHS is one of the most respected healthcare systems in the world. With its mission to provide high-quality, accessible care to all, it sets a global standard for public healthcare. Together with Apian, we’re helping build the next generation of NHS logistics.

“As a leader in medical drone delivery, we are well positioned to support the NHS in delivering faster, smarter and more equitable care for patients across the UK. On a personal level, this has extra meaning as my children were born in NHS hospitals.”

— Andreas Raptopoulos, CEO, Matternet

We believe ultra-fast logistics is a cornerstone of next-generation healthcare, and we’re proud to support the NHS in building a more connected, responsive, and patient-centered system for the UK.
